There are eight event-exclusive Field Research tasks in Pokemon GO's Holiday Event 2021 Part 2, and this guide has details on all of them.

The second part of Pokemon GO’s Holiday Event 2021 has begun, and it adds some new Field Research tasks to Niantic’s extremely-popular mobile game. These Field Research tasks, and their associated rewards, overlap nicely with Pokemon GO’s Holidays Timed Research tasks, and players that value efficiency should plan to work on them in tandem. For those fans that would like a better understanding of how these sets of Research fit together, a list of all of the Field Research tasks and rewards can be found in this guide.

For the sake of clarity, it may be worthwhile to mention that Field Research tasks are obtained by spinning PokeStops in Pokemon GO. Additionally, it is important to note that the Holiday Event 2021 Part 2 Field Research detailed in this guide will only be available until Friday, December 31 at 8pm local time. Players that are interested in some of the Research’s rewards are thus advised to get busy visiting PokeStops to avoid missing out on the opportunity to earn them.

As players that peruse this list are sure to notice, two of these new Field Research tasks center around catching Pokemon, which is also the focus of the Holidays Catch Challenge Timed Research. Furthermore, that set of Timed Research puts a heavy emphasis on catching Ice-type Pokemon in PoGO, and encounters with that type of Pokemon serve as rewards for several of the Field Research tasks. As such, fans that take the time to spin PokeStops and pickup event-exclusive Field Research tasks should find that they are progressing through the Catch Challenge more quickly.

Similarly, the Field Research tasks that require engagement with Gifts directly overlap with the Holidays Friendship Challenge Timed Research, allowing players to essentially double-dip on their rewards. This leaves the Egg hatching tasks, but they actually do have a connection to the ongoing Holiday Event. Specifically, the connection is that players can receive a single-use Egg Incubator in Pokemon GO every day of the event simply by spinning a PokeStop, providing some additional incentive to do so.

Pokemon GO is available now on mobile devices.
